Account Executive
Mike is a Employee Benefits Account Executive here at HUB Southwest. In this role, he manages a book of middle-market business clients and provides professional and courteous service to clients, business partners, and internal colleagues. He acquires an understanding of clients’ insurance objectives and analyzes and compares products and plans to determine suitability. He makes recommendations to clients as part of his partnership with them and understanding their needs. As an Account Executive, Mike is the primary service contact on our team for day-to-day service needs. Mike’s responsibilities include overall plan management for his clients, including strategic planning, renewal negotiations, budgeting, benefit communications, plan compliance, plan design, financial reporting, claim management and client satisfaction. He has been with HUB International since 2018. Mike has over 17 years experience in the field of employee benefits with managing both full-insured and self-funded groups ranging in size from 50-2,000 lives. Mike has experience with servicing one of our largest aviation clients and understands some of the unique challenges that you face, from attraction and retention of critical talent, to rising health care costs, and even furloughs. He started his carrier with Health Net, an insurance provider in Southern California, where he started out as a Customer Service Representative, progressing next to a Grievance Coordinator, Retention Specialist and then Account Manager. From there Mike went on to work as an Account Manager at two general agencies before moving to Arizona. Mike studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and currently resides in Arizona, with his wife and two kids. In his free time, Mike coaches many youth sports his kids are involved in.
